A podcast for freelancers, by freelancers.

Katheryn is a multi-hyphenate creative freelancer. She’s an actor, voice actor, photographer and an international acting & voice coach.

 

More commonly known to her friends as Kat, she became a full time freelancer in order to keep herself creative all the time and give herself the freedom to arrange her schedule around her acting career.

​

Kat’s intention as an artist is to have a positive impact on communities and to make as many people as she can feel seen and heard.

​

She is the current voice of the ‘Ask for Angela’ campaign for the business safety network, in association with the Mayor of London and Magicbox Media. A campaign aiming to help keep women and non-binary people safe and help remove them from a situation in a public space if needed. As a self-proclaimed feminist, this is a campaign that is very important to Kat. 

 

‘Not the 9 to 5’ isn’t just a podcast to Kat, it’s a community hub for freelancers to find information, to answer the questions she wished she had answered in her early days as a freelancer, a place for experienced freelancers to expand on their current skill set  and to bring light and fun to other freelancers' days (and ears!).

Kat is a fully certified independent celebrant and can hold weddings, baby naming ceremonies, commitment ceremonies and vowel renewals!

Francesca is an actor, voice artist, Film and TV Location Manager and co-owner of production company Melon and Spud Productions. With her hands in many sectors within the creative industries, she enjoys combining her creative flair with her logical mastery in all her freelance adventures.

She has had the privilege of working on a series  of projects for Amazon and Netflix such as The People We Hate at The Wedding (Amazon Studios), Master of None S3 (Universal Pictures) and Billions S6 (FPS1). Switching roles to in front of the screen, Francesca has featured in Sky Atlantics production of This England.  

 

Aside from creating this wonderful podcast with AKA Katheryn Sigga-sig-aa, Francesca enjoys getting stuck into projects that allow stories to be voiced as they mean to be heard. She had the honour of being apart of a moving play that highlighted the devastating effects the Post Office scandal hand on individuals and this not only allowed her to grow as an actor but as an individual too. A project where she had the privilege of meeting her now co-host Kat!

 

Fun Fact: 

 

Francesca has a special bond with her dyson hoover, and enjoys a good vacuum around the house on a daily basis. Aside from her OCD-ness she is fluent in both Italian and Croatian languages.
